Mission Trip - Missions Organizations

The Timothy Project is an ecumenical mission coordination agency for youth and college groups. Based in the Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina, we develop, identify, assist and support ongoing mission efforts in the Southeastern US.
"The Timothy Project is a great missions organization! For the second year in a row, it has done a tremendous job of planning, organizing and executing a memorable missions experience! I highly recommend using Cliff and his staff for your next mission trip."

A human quilt?
My Aunt’s beautiful handmade quilts are the inspiration for our home page. She would take discarded scraps of fabric and make something wonderful and functional.

Isn’t that what God does with us? In the body of Christ, all are connected, all are redeemed for a purpose, all are broken but renewed. It is in this spirit that The Timothy Project seeks to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. Since our beginnings a short time ago in 2007, Timothy Project groups have done construction and home repairs, Vacation Bible Schools, ministry to homeless persons, environmental stewardship, along with many prayers and other acts of kindness.

Asset Based Community Building
An asset based approach to missions offers a fresh and exciting perspective. Asset based missions identifies community strengths, builds upon those strengths, and encourages long term relationships and partnerships. We believe it is closely modeled after the ministry of Jesus, in which the worth of each individual is respected, their personal gifts acknowledged and their contributions accepted in kingdom building. Participating groups are often exposed to churches and Christians somewhat different than themselves, which is a helpful form of learning.
